2025 retreat

SeptEMber 5-7, 2025

Bailey, CO 3 days, 2 nights

The Sister Moon 2025 retreat is an opportunity to connect with other women in your community and to make lasting friendships that can continue well after the weekend concludes. The experience is designed to be immersive and distraction-free so you can soak up every last drop of the healing power of connection. It’s the essential first step to authentic personal growth, leadership, and building deeper bonds with the world around you.

Retreat-goers will be camping at a front-country campsite for two nights. The event will be focused on hiking/outdoor exploration, community building exercises, and good old-fashioned campfire conversations. We will also host “skill spills” — retreat-goers will be invited to teach a skill of their choosing to the rest of the group. This means women will get the opportunity to learn sick skills from other women, whether that’s yoga, tarot, constellation spotting, local flora/fauna, goal and intention setting, meditation — you name it! (Don’t worry if you feel like you don’t have a skill, it’s meant to be casual and we will help you with an activity to share!)

Part of the charm of this event is that it will be rustic: we find that people are able to immerse themselves best when they are free of distractions, step outside of their normal routines, and leave behind the typical comforts of home. No camping experience needed, but retreat go-ers should be comfortable sleeping in a tent.

FAQ

  • This is an outdoor women's retreat focused on skill sharing and community connection. This is a rustic outdoor experience – you will be camping outside in a tent.

    Activities include…

    • Skill sharing: Bring any skill or piece of knowledge (can be anything you enjoy doing – you don’t need to be a professional or expert!) to share with the rest of the group in a casual, 15-20 minute session. The idea is to empower women to teach, and learn from, other women.

    • Structured conversations + connection building exercises: We will have structured exercises – ranging from fun “camp” games to deep conversations – to help you get to know your fellow retreat-goers better.

    • Hiking: There are great hiking trails right on the property where we will be staying. Easy to moderate skill level.

    • Swimming: We have a nearby lake for taking a dip, or just spending time in the sun!

    • Animals (!!) Animal lovers will be obsessed with this campsite; there are goats, llamas, dogs, and other farm critters regularly roaming around with us. We will definitely spend some time giving them pets and saying hi!

    • So much more: We will be enjoying time to reconnect with nature, our community, and ourselves.

This is as much a retreat as it is a personal experiment. Think of it as a playland to explore: what would it be like if I were louder? If I opened up? If I tried something that I’m bad at? If I shared my ideas? If I took credit? The Sister Moon 2025 retreat is your chance to let your guard down. To be dirty and to be in charge. To speak proudly without being a “know it all.” Or, rather, to know it all – and to f*cking own it.

  • Any woman, trans or non-binary individual (21+ and over) who is looking to connect with and learn from other women in their community. No camping experience required, but please note that retreat go-ers should be comfortable staying in a “rustic” outdoor environment (sleeping in tents, no showers, port-o-potty bathrooms, etc.)

  • Yes! We are taking all measures possible to ensure that everyone has a safe retreat experience. The retreat will be in a gated campsite area, led by people who have professional experience in outdoor leadership with large groups.

  • The retreat is at a fantastic, spacious campsite about an hour and 20 minutes west of Denver. For safety purposes, the exact location of the campsite will be shared after registration. Please note that the campsite does have animals, including dogs, goats, and llamas on the property. When it comes to transportation, car space is very limited, so we encourage carpooling and will have a carpool registration.

  • All activities, meals, snacks, and water are included. Gear is NOT included – we will be sending a detailed list of required gear after registration, and will share resources for renting gear in Denver and Boulder.

  • We love making new friends! The retreat will be structured to make it easy to connect with others – that’s the whole point. Prior to the retreat, we will also help with tent groupings, carpools, and more.

  • Detailed packing lists will be shared after you have registered. But, in general, think “comfortable backpacking” gear more than “glamping” gear. Part of the fun is being away from your worldly possessions for a bit – we encourage people to pack lightly. For any specific questions, please reach out to our team: the.sister.moon.collective@gmail.com

  • Full refunds will be issued before August 5. After August 5, all sales are final, but tickets can be transferred to a friend up until a week before the event.

  • Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the.sister.moon.collective@gmail.com if you have more questions.
